We will run so they can live...

On March 23rd and 24th, 2019, a team of animal lovers will run The Skechers Performance Marathon, The Charity Challenge and The LA Big 5k to raise money for Kitten Rescue to save homeless animals....

This cause is personal to me because I adopted two orphaned kittens who had been rescued and offered veterinary care when a more common response would have been to euthanize them. I'm running to raise awareness that even the smallest and most helpless creatures are deserving of our empathy, and our lives are only enriched by helping them.

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless animals. Each year we save around 1,000 animals from the streets and city shelter and place them into new homes. We are comprised of dedicated volunteers who devote much of their time to helping homeless animals, while juggling their own families, jobs and lives as best as they can! At any given time you may find them bottle feeding orphaned kittens, nursing sick cats and dogs to health, visiting high-kill shelters to save animals, running back and forth to veterinary clinics, trapping community cats for spay/neuter, feeding community cats, taming feral kittens, rehabilitating animals with behavioral issues, taking foster animals to adoption events, or delivering animals to their forever homes. While most of our animals reside in volunteer foster homes, the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary in Atwater Village is home to up to 150 special needs cats and at our lifesaving Kitten Nursery we bottle feed up to 50 orphaned, un-weaned kittens around the clock.

Why sponsor Team Kitten Rescue? Because you will be helping save the lives of cats and dogs who would otherwise not have a chance. Kitten Rescue relies on donations from the public to save the animals and pay for their veterinary care. The more money we raise, the more lives we can save! So please sponsor Team Kitten Rescue today. If you know one of our team members, you can donate directly on his/her individual fundraisng page, and the amount will reflect on this page as well. Since we are a 501c3, donations made to Kitten Rescue are tax-deductible.
