Friends,
I got out the oil can and got my creaky joints working again after these tough two years.
The 2021 LA Marathon weekend (postponed twice this year due to COVID), is finally happening this coming weekend (November 6/7)! I will be running The LA Big 5k to raise money to save homeless animals. And guess what? The 2022 LA Marathon is happening just four months later, in March and I'm already preparing to run the charity half marathon then. (Slow and steady wins the race!)
The LA Marathon is one of Kitten Rescue's biggest fundraising events, and we rely on it to be able to save more vulnerable cats and kittens who otherwise would have no hope of survival and would face certain suffering and/or death without our help.
I have seen on a weekly basis, kittens and cats come in to our rescue scared, hungry, dirty, and dehydrated, many with underlying medical issues. The transformation in these cats after days and weeks of TLC and medical care and is beautiful and heartwarming. The one thing we can guarantee for each cat is that they will be loved, cared for and comfortable and need fear no more. We have already saved over 2100 cats this year (a record number) and but we have miles to go!
I am running in both these events because I know that every dollar donated goes to enhancing the lives of these innocent creatures. Please help me help them by donating--ANY AMOUNT is appreciated. Thank you!

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit organization that saves animals from the streets and city shelters, rehabilitates them, and places them into permanent, loving homes. Kitten Rescue has saved nearly 24,000 animals since their inception in 1997.
While most of Kitten Rescue's 1500 animals reside in volunteer foster homes, the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary in Atwater Village is home to up to 150 special needs cats, and at their lifesaving Kitten Nursery they bottle feed up to 50 orphaned, un-weaned kittens around the clock.
When you donate towards my run, you will be helping save the lives of animals who would otherwise have no chance. Kitten Rescue relies on donations from the public to save the animals and pay for their veterinary care. The more money that I raise, the more lives Kitten Rescue can save!
EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
$5 will microchip a kitty
$10 will treat a kitty for parasites
$15 will vaccinate a kitty
$40 will FeLV/FIV test a kitty
$50 will provide a vet exam for a kitty
$75 will spay or neuter a kitty
$200 will provide basic medical care to get a kitten adoption ready
$250 will provide a blood panel and urinalysis for a kitty
$500 will provide a dental cleaning for a kitty
$1000 will sponsor a vaccination/combo testing/microchip clinic
$2500 will sponsor a spay clinic for one day
$5000 will run the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary for one week
