Help Us Help Them

The Cat Days of Summer is the last stretch of Kitten Season that pushes us to our limit each year. Our foster homes, Sanctuary and Nursery are at maximum capacity, all while more kittens are being born on the streets. As the calls for help keep pouring in, we struggle to keep up with the demand in order to save as many fragile lives as we can.
During these brutally hot and dry months, kittens on the street are susceptible to starvation, dehydration and flea anemia. Many of the kittens that we are rescuing are sick, injured or need to be bottle fed around the clock, and we may be their only hope. Mounting vet bills and the costs of day-to-day operations have us stretched to the limit. But kittens still need our help, and that means that we need YOUR help!

Please help us reach our goal of $30,000.00 to get us through the Cat Days of Summer, so that we can save more kittens in need.

Kittens like Amelia need our help more than ever!

Last Sunday a young man spotted tiny Amelia hunkered over in the center of a busy road. He quickly stopped the car, scooped her up and called us for help. Fortunately, Kitten Rescue was able to take Emilia into our Nursery. Poor Amelia was near death when she arrived. She had pneumonia, a severe upper respiratory infection, and was covered in fleas. After days of being on supplemental oxygen, frequent syringe feeding, subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics, Amelia finally turned the corner and started eating on her own yesterday morning!

Amelia’s story is all too common during the Cat Days of Summer. As an example, during Ameila's week long care, both of our oxygen concentrators were in use and we had to quickly purchase another one to be able to provide life-saving treatment for a newly rescued kitten who needed oxygen therapy.
Your donation will ensure that we are there for kittens like Amelia in their time of need.
