Help us save more cats like: Thor, Mercedes, and Scooter.

I am raising money in honor of Thor - a handsome 3 year old kitty rescued from the East Valley shelter. Thor had been attacked by a dog, who basically tried to bite his face off. His wounds were already infected and he required surgery to clean and suture all his facial lacerations. The worst was his eyelid, which was badly torn. He has completely healed, shows NO fear of the dogs at the KR Nursery, and is pretty much the most perfect cat ever.

I am also raising money for Mercedes - a 9 week old kitten with a horribly displaced break of her femur. We rescued her from East Valley shelter, with Thor, and rushed her to the vet the very next morning for surgery. Mercedes is healing really well, they were able to correct her displaced break, and with the help of an external fixator, her leg is on it's way to being healed. She still has several weeks of recovery ahead of her, but Mercedes is now a happy, healthy 11 week old baby girl who loves to cuddle and be petted. We cannot wait until she is able to run and play like a kitten should!

Lastly, I am running to raise money for Scooter - a 2 year old kitty who was adopted from the shelter at 1 year old. He was an indoor/outdoor cat, and was returned to the shelter after he suffered injury to his front leg that likely will require amputation. Scooter is incredibly sweet, and thankfully, his leg is nerve damaged so he is in no pain. This beautiful boy has a 2nd chance at life now, after being cast off as "damanged goods".

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless animals. Each year they rescue over 1,000 cats (and some dogs!) from the streets and city shelters and place them into new homes. Kitten Rescue is on the forefront of making Los Angeles a No-Kill City and they will not stop until all of the shelters are empty and every animal has a loving home.

Kitten Rescue is comprised of dedicated volunteers who devote much of their time to helping homeless animals, while juggling their own families, jobs and lives as best as they can! At any given time you may find them bottle feeding orphaned kittens, nursing sick cats and dogs to health, visiting high-kill shelters to save animals, running back and forth to veterinary clinics, trapping community cats for spay/neuter, feeding community cats, taming feral kittens, rehabilitating animals with behavioral issues, taking foster animals to adoption events, or delivering animals to their forever homes.

The Kitten Rescue Sanctuary is home to up to 150 special needs cats and around 1000 animals are cared for in foster homes at any given time. In 2016 Kitten Rescue opened the Kitten Rescue Nursery, where they bottle feed orphaned, unweaned kittens around the clock.
