Meet The PowerPuff Girls!
Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup were brought to the Kitten Rescue Nursery in August of 2016, when they were only one week old. Shortly after they arrived, we realized that they were different. As their siblings' motor skills improved, theirs did not. They could only roll around and could not even lift their heads on their own to eat or drink. It became apparent to us that these kittens suffered from Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition that impairs their ability to walk and move around.
We have made a home for the Powerpuff Girls at the Kitten Rescue Nursery, where they receive 24 hour care from our loving staff and volunteers. Our volunteers built special wheelchairs for them, which enable them to move in ways that they could not before and they receive physical therapy. You can watch the Powerpuff girls daily on our webcam on explore.org.
